Hi. I'm Tom

Thank you for taking the time to check out my web site and my story.
My name is Tom Lilly and I live just about 45 minutes north of Seattle, WA. I am not a native of the PNW. I came out here in the 1995 with the Navy when I was transferred to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). I met and fell in love with the amazing woman who is my wife and decided to call this area home.
A few years ago my wife and I decided we did not like the look of our kitchen. Now, you have to understand that our house was only about 9 years old at the time. The kitchen was nice, but made with builder-grade counters and cabinets. It just needed a facelift. Well, we took it up a notch. I started researching how to pour concrete countertops.
Since I started working with concrete I have been itching to do more. I also love the look of stained wood. How can I combine them? I thought about different ways to showcase the properties of hard, solid concrete with different species of wood. I landed on serving trays and side tables.
I am a nurse and spend the majority of my life helping people in their health journey. This calling gives me a sense of fulfillment I had not experienced since serving in the US Navy many years ago. Life is really all about serving those in need, right? Life as a nurse is also pretty busy and emotionally heavy at times. I have found a release by working with my hands. I come home from work, change into jeans and a t-shirt, and head into the garage for some “therapy” with power tools and beautiful hard woods.
I have a blast building cutting boards and charcuterie trays. Each is unique and will be a great conversation piece for any dining table or kitchen.
Contact me to discuss your thoughts and ideas. How can we work together?

Handcrafted wooden boards and trays in action

The wooden board’s grain and finish made my dinner party truly special.
